POLLO
PRODUCTIONS
"APOLLO"
The name of our production company is Apollo Productions. We came about this name through Greek Mythology and found that the Greek God, Apollo, represented entertainment and creative arts which is similar to what we represent. After some research into Apollo, we found that his iconic symbol was a Lyre which is a music instrument.
THE LOGO
We found that using his symbol as a part of our logo would emphasise how we were inspired by him. We found a simple image of a Lyre and after Kayleigh edited it using Photoshop so that it's unique to us and our production company.
PRODUCING OUR LOGO
1. We found this image of a Lyre which we thought was easy to alter and change to fit our liking. I started by removing the background and changing it to transparent.
2. I changed the colour to white (as it fits our blue and white colour scheme) and outlined it to a dark grey colour.
3. I then rotated the image 180 degrees so that it looks like the letter A. We found that this could then allow our logo to also symbolise the letter A in 'Apollo.'
4. I moved the bar from the bottom to the middle and filled in the gaps so that the logo could look even more like the letter A.
OUR PRODUCTION COMPANY
After learning what a production company was, as a team we created a name for our group and we decided to name our production company "Apollo Productions". We then went on to virtually create a logo, from what we had sketched on paper, using her Photoshop skills. Below she documented her process and how she went about altering the logo to make it our own.
