LIFE IS SWEET                           FILM TITLE ANALYSIS

00:00:09 - Production Companies
The  first thing to appear on screen is the names of the production companies against a black background. The font is bold and in white. This colour combination creates a stark contrast  which helps the name of the production company stay in the audiences mind, helping them promote their brand.

00:00:15 - Title: Life is Sweet
The title is the second piece of text that appears on screen. It is in a bright orange font, outlined by pink. it has a slight curve to it too. This suggests that  the film is quite light hearted due to the light colours. The wavy effect suggests that  something in the film doesn't go the way you would expect and that things aren't perfect  which is something you would expect from the social realism genre.

00:00:24 - Director Credits: Mike Leigh
The first name shown is Mike Leigh. This is the name of the director and producer of the film. This being shown first in a sequence of names, shows the importance of this person and how they are a crucial crew member as of course, they were in charge of creating the film.

00:00:32 - Cast Name: Alison Steadman
Then the shot cuts to a medium of the main character. The text  is shown under her, indicating that she is the name being shown. Since she is the first name shown apart from Mike Leigh, it tells the audience that  she  is the protagonist of the film. The bright pink she is wearing relates back to the title  which further emphasises how she will be the star of the film. After this name, a number  of different names are shown which are presumed to be the other cast and crew members with around 1-2 second intervals between them to maintain a fast face to go with the fast  paced activities taking place on screen.

00:01:35 - Director Credits: Mike Leigh
The last name shown is, again, Mike Leigh. This highlights reinforces the importance of the role and ensures that the audiences know who made the film. As soon as this credit disappears, the soundtrack becomes quieter and there is more dialogue, indicating the film is about to begin.
