The first thing to come up is the name of the production companies. They come up with their own iconic logos showing the audience how the film has strong sponsors. The logos are almost always center screen to ensure all attention goes to the idents.

The idents are then condensed into a simple white font against a black background. This is conventional composition as it is a common way of summarising the companies that are sponsoring the film whilst avoiding overwhelming the audience with logos and colour, before the film actually begins.

In this opening scene, text is shown on the top left corner. It states the location and time period which the film opens. This is conventional as it establishes the context of the film. This is supported by the yellow colour grading- replicating feelings of warmth and the sweltering heat of India. The close up matched with this intense lighting creates a feeling of pressure and tension, indicating to the audience that our protagonist is in a tricky situation when we join him.

00:01:23 - Context
This text is presented as a question. It indicates to the audience that the movie will be one where questions are explored. This tells us that we will be going on a journey to find these answer, which is conventional in the social realism genre as the narrative usually follows the protagonist on a journey. Aswell as this, the text tells us our protagonists name and why he is so stressed (he is in a gameshow).

After setting the scene, the screen cuts to black with a sound bridge of the voice. The question is still being asked and the options come up on screen. This dramatic black out creates tension and indicates that the film is about to begin and reveal which one of the answers on screen will be the end journey.
