POVERTY
We follow a young adult who lives in Tottenham with family. Its 2011 and the riots have sparked off. Mickeys mother gets killed during the riots as she gets caught up in the crowds. The protagonists little brother gets taken into foster care but since the protagonist is an adult, he is separated from him. With virtually no qualifications and very little left behind from his mothers will, he is left homeless. He turns to selling drugs to make a little money for his basic survival. Poverty, homelessness, the care system and drugs are explored in this idea in order to expose the uglier reality of many people who have nothing to their name.
