ADULTHOOD

The director has decided to use a simple, dark background to allow the title of the movie to stand out. It also represents the simplistic nature and non-glamoured lifestyle of those in 'adult hood'. They have used White Bold font to make the title of the movie stand out. The name of the film should also give the audience of where the film is being set at. The letter D stands out as it's the only letter within the title that isn't capitalized - this could imply that the characters are uneducated or of lower intelligence, applying a stereotypical view towards young people of the lower class. Most of the people that lives in the "Hood” aren’t as educated as other as they aren't spending a large amount of country. The low CAP "d" could also represent that your child hood can haunt you in the future. The fact that it's a one word title and is positioned in the centre of the frame indicates that the film is solely based upon young people who have entered adulthood and will possibly show the audience how different adulthood is for them in comparison to what a Hollywood film would imply.
